Brianne Kilpatrick, manager of community and corporate engagement at Goddard Riverside Community Center, was also present at the book fair volunteering. She has received many testimonies from some of the homeless people that Goddard Riverside has assisted over the years. The company specializes in assisting them by providing affordable housing and resume workshops, which is part of their TOP OP opportunities programs. TOP OP represents "supported employment tailored to individual needs."

According to Goddard Riverside Community Center, many TOP OP members gone on to work as front-desk clerks in residential buildings, mail-room clerks and messengers at a midtown law firm, street sanitation crews for a local business improvement district and reception and office assistants at various community-based organizations.
